Golf Books To Read
Reading about golf is the next best thing to playing it. Here are a few golf books that I can recommend you put on your summer reading list: The Caddy Who Played With Hickory by John Coyne In his second golf novel, horror writer John Coyne takes the reader to the Midlothian golf club of the late 1940s for a match between the legendary Walter Hagen and a young caddy at the club. Pops and Sunshine by Dave Andrews This first effort is well worth reading. It's about a widower who helps an up-and-coming LPGA star who reminds him of his own lost child. Heartwarming. Alice Cooper: Golf Monster by Alice Cooper Shock Rocker Alice Cooper also is a single digit handicapper. Read about how golf saved his life. It's a fascinating look into the world of a golf superstar. Tommy's Honor by Kevin Cook Old Tom and Young Tom Morris dominated the early days of golf and the British Open. But Young Tom was destined for tragedy. |
